It's the old iomap.com site that frankly has been in need of redevelopment for a long time! The first example is a new Flash interface to a set of map image tiles. The main advantage is the ability to provide larger, more detailed maps without overloading the server.

I'm not a great fan of Flash but the asynchronous operation (the map updates in the background while you continue to navigate around it) is pretty cool. Now if I can do the same thing with dHTML / AJAX and also include all the functions available in the other maps...
